Welcome to Ousedale Careers Information Advice & Guidance
We are committed to giving quality impartial information, advice and guidance to all students from years 7-13 by educating them on future opportunities and potential career paths based on their individual needs. Encouraging students to recognise and embrace their own distinct set of characteristics, skills and knowledge. Using these to make informed career choices, researching and exploring different career sectors and the roles available within, including the different study options available and necessary qualifications required.
Ousedale undertake a varied programme of careers education and incorporate this into the curriculum as much as possible. All activities are designed to develop student’s self-awareness and develop employability skills whilst enhancing their knowledge of careers. We hold a variety of events, workshops and one to one interviews throughout the course of the year as outlined in the Careers Plan 2018/19.
All students will have a one to one meeting about their career routes and post 16 options. We openly encourage them to engage with us on a regular basis to obtain the information and support they need.
An appointment can be requested by a student at any time, or by staff members or parents.
