Should the school be under-subscribed after in-area children and children of staff, up to 36 Year 7 places are available at Ousedale School for students who live outside the School's defined area and can demonstrate an aptitude for music. These places recognise a tradition of musical expertise and success at Ousedale over many years, and the continuing development of music provision at the school with enhanced and improved specialist facilities. 

Should you wish to apply for a musical aptitude place at one of Milton Keynes' most successful and consistently over-subscribed schools you must register for your son/daughter to take the aptitude assessment. 

The deadline for the Musical Aptitude Test application for September 2025 intake has now closed. Details for applications for September 2026 will be shared here in due course.
