Applying to University
A very high proportion of our students achieve places at university and about a third attend Russell Group institutions. Equally importantly they select a vast array of degree choices, demonstrating that the students are independent thinkers, keen to pursue their own individual interests.
Our aim is to ensure that every student gains a place on a course which they will enjoy at an excellent university. Aware that each student has different needs and aspirations, we work closely with sixth formers to help them navigate the bewildering range of options: some students choose vocational courses such as medicine, nursing and teaching, others want to pursue pure academic subjects, while others wish to study courses in the fine or performing arts, some preferring city universities, others campus or college based sites. Whatever their choices, our staff use their expertise and experience to guide each student. We offer support with UCAS form filling, interview practice and advice to ensure our students are confident and well positioned to move to the next stage of their education.
