Sixth Form Pupil Leadership Team

Congratulations to our new 2024-25 Sixth Form Leadership Team

Katherine Chase - Pupil Head

Head Pupil

My name is Katherine Chase and I am Head Pupil at Ousedale Sixth Form. I am currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics. I hope to study Economics and Management at university.

As Head Student, I support all aspects of the Leadership Team to help bring their ideas to life and create a memorable experience for students studying at Sixth Form. I aim to be a friendly face and a resource that all Sixth Form students can be confident speaking to. Most importantly, I hope to encourage everyone to grasp all the opportunities available to them and make the most of their Sixth Form experience!

Ire Adebiyi - Pupil Deputy Head

Pupil Deputy Head

My name is Ire Adebiyi, as one of Deputy Head Students, I am committed to serving as a positive role model and voice for my peers. I went to The Webber Independent School for secondary school, I chose to come to Ousedale because of the ideology and values that were showcased at the Sixth Form open evening, as well as the tightknit community that there is here.  My aim is to foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to achieve their potential. I will work closely with the rest pf the leadership team to promote student well-being, enhance communication, and drive decision-making that strengthen our school community. My goal after this is to attend the University of Leicester to study Economics.

My A-Level subjects are: Business, Economics and Physical Education.

Aiden Carthy - Pupil Deputy Head

Teaching and Learning Leader

My name is Aidan, and I am Deputy Head Pupil. My focus is to ensure student voices are heard, and that each member of the Sixth Form Leadership works to their strengths.

I am studying English Literature, History and Music, with an aspiration to study Law at Cambridge University. I enjoy essay-based subjects, hence my first two choices, and drew my third choice from my dedication to and enjoyment of school musical groups and musical productions.

I also represent Ousedale on the Milton Keynes Youth Council, leading an Action Group based on Youth Crime, and I ensure that Ousedale is a part of its city-wide initiatives.

I am thrilled to lead such an enthusiastic team this year, and I am sure positive action will come from our cooperation and teamwork.

Ashley Ekwensi

Societies Leader

Hi, my name is Ashley Ekwensi, and I am the Head of Student Societies at Ousedale School. I am currently studying Business, Geography, Sociology and EPQ and have great aspirations to pursue a career in Business and Law. I created this role due to noticing the lack of support for students that were looking to study non-STEM subjects in Further Education. There were limited extra-curricular opportunities for students to be supported in the decision of their subject and career choices. These opportunities would allow them to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in their selected field and allow them to stand out more in their personal statements.

Through this role, I am taking up the task of creating and managing these career-based Student Societies to create this opportunity to enhance the knowledge of careers beyond the classroom and generating experiences that will make them stand out in their future applications and build character and knowledge on potential career paths.

This is a role that has never been done before so I aspire to leave a legacy where students can join their relevant student societies for many years to come and gain advanced support and ensure future success in reaching their aspiring careers.

Rebecca Seaton

Teaching and Learning Leader

My name is Rebecca Seaton, and I am a teaching and learning leader. I currently study English language, psychology, and business. I look forward to being a part of the leadership team again this year. I hope I will be able to contribute and make this year a success.

Our aim is to promote wellbeing across the Sixth Form by running fun activities, creating educational form time activities, starting extra-curricular societies, and opening up opportunities for students to get involved in. I thoroughly enjoy studying at Ousedale Sixth Form, and I believe that improving wellbeing for the students here is crucial for finding a comfortable balance between learning and mental health. I hope that by the end of my time at Ousedale, everyone understands the importance of health and wellbeing and can take on board the messages the wellbeing team has shared in order to make Sixth Form an enjoyable place to learn and grow.

In the future, I hope to go to university to study Bioscience and Ecology, as I would like to eventually have a career in conservation and sustainability. Outside of school, my hobbies include learning Japanese, sketching and Kendo, and I would strongly encourage other students to also pick up hobbies to distract from stress.

Please feel free to speak with any of us on the wellbeing team if you need any assistance while you are at Ousedale!

My aim is to ensure SEND students have access to the support and information needed to thrive and perform to the highest ability in their A-Level exams here at Ousedale. All students deserve to succeed at school with no boundaries, provided with easy to access resources to help them throughout year 12 and 13. I am here to support students with their transition through Sixth Form, provide information on where to find support and provide options post A-Levels with information on bursaries and finance support. Hi, I am Sophie Lasisi and I’m one of the STEM leaders. I study Maths, Biology and Chemistry as I aspire to study Medicine at university. My favourite part about Ousedale Sixth Form is being able to study challenging content alongside my friends, and as part of my role, I hope to inspire as many students as possible to pursue STEM careers. I want to offer as much advice about work experience, revision and balancing external activities as possible. I look forward to creating more enthusiasm towards a career in STEM!

Bella Tilley

STEM Leader - Animal Science

I am studying Maths, Chemistry, EPQ and Biology, and I am hoping to study Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.

I wanted to create my own role based on animal sciences because throughout year 7 to year 12 I realised that STEM groups would often focus on medicine, and I found that my subject choice (veterinary medicine and surgery) was never mentioned. This sparked my interest to research other occupations in animal science. Evidently, I became very inspired to represent students who were following the same path as me and help spread my knowledge on the different options in animal science. My aim now as a leader is to help promote animal science, raise money for animal rescue charities and make all students feel like they have an enough support to enter the field.

Aimee Keeler

I am currently studying Applied Science, English Language and Sociology, and hope to study Medicine in the future and pursue a career in healthcare. This year I am highly looking forward to helping the year 12's and younger school years to reach their full potential and encourage them to do so within STEM subjects. I am hoping to achieve a better understanding of STEM subjects throughout the Sixth Form community alongside the UCAS application process, competition within these fields and how to tackle them head on!
